Carver Alumni volunteers worked together along with school staff and students to re-paint the stadium wall and give it a fresh look for the athletic seasons to come. Volunteers had a great time together enjoying many memories and talking of future gatherings to keep the Yellow Jacket spirit alive. The fresh look was prepared in time to host the Winston-Salem State University spring scrimmage game and begin the debut of updates to come in the stadium area this year. The David Lash Football Stadium wall at Carver High School is one of the backdrops of Yellow Jacket's many memories. As fans cheer towards the scoreboard, track athletes bend the last corner of races, football and soccer teams race toward goals, band members march past that wall and more. It's always there to boldly state the presence of Carver High School Yellow Jackets. It’s a very proud monument with two plaques mounted in memory of two student athletes that we lost along the way who’s lives are still celebrated today. The wall has become a very special place in the memories of Carver Students and visitors of all ages. The finished product looks wonderful! Be sure to join in on our next volunteer event to support our legacy. "Jacket Pride"
